Church history
With 68 people signed as charter members, Bethany Christian Church was organized in 1944 to give people in the Williamson Road area a Disciples of Christ church to attend. The sanctuary was constructed in 1947. In 1960, a fellowship and education wing was added onto the church. The church building has undergone several renovations since being built.

Physical description
Bethany Christian Church is a stone block church with stained-glass windows. The sanctuary has a high ceiling, burgundy carpet, cushioned pews and seating for about 150 people.
Personality of the congregation
This is an easy-going and very loving church. When you visit Bethany, be prepared to be greeted by smiling faces and good jokes. There are plenty of people here who will make you laugh, but they are also very dedicated to serving God.
